Camouflages in Zombies can only be applied on weapons available in weapon kits, regardless of their feature in multiplayer or the campaign. In addition to being applied to multiplayer weapons, camouflages can also be applied on weapons in the campaign and Zombies, including the Bowie Knife. Campaign, Zombies and Black Market camouflages do not apply to post-release weapons. Camouflages can be applied in conjunction with a custom Paintshop skin. Limited camouflages are time limited camouflages available primarily through Rare supply drops or Camo Bribes for a short duration and are unlocked for all weapons, whereas the other qualities are permanent additions to the pool unlocked individually for each base game weapon. Camouflages in supply drops are obtained in one of five rarities, being Common, Rare, Legendary, Epic and Limited, with the first four labelled as Black Market camouflages, and Limited camouflages labelled as Extra camouflages. In Call of Duty: Black Ops III, weapon camouflages are obtained through various means, such as challenges, promotions, Supply Drops and downloadable content.
